Argama Academy - Introduction to Airbrushing (ACAD102)

Ever wanted to get into airbrushing? Didn't want to sift through videos and research to get the information you need? This course is just for you. Learn how to finish your models with confidence. This hands-on course introduces the fundamentals of airbrushing specifically for plastic model builders, ideal for beginners and hobbyist looking to get introduced to the world of airbrushing.

Throughout the course you will learn how to setup and use airbrushes, prepare paint, control pressure and flow to achieve consistent coats. 

Outline of the course: 

• Airbrush setup, operation and basic maintenance with supplied airbrushes
• Choosing the right paints, thinners and equipment
• Prepairing parts for painting
• Paint mixing and thinning techniques
• Controlling air pressure and paint flow
• Applying primers, base coats, and top coats
  
• Troubleshooting common airbrush problems
  
• Cleaning and maintaining your airbrush

Prerequisite:

• Already have experience in completing straight gunpla build, or completing a traditional kit

Duration of the course:

• Single Class 
  
• Approx 2 Hours

Class size:

• 4 Max (min of 2 to start the course)

Age Requirement

• 15+

What to bring to the class

• Any "paint ready" model kit 
  • For a ready-to-paint model please ensure the pieces are cut and gates/nubs have been sanded flush. 
• We will provide airbrushing equipment and stations from our painting lab
