AK Xtreme Metal are high sheen metallics. Please airbrush over gloss black for the best results. For most reflective results, please spray at a lower psi and very lightly over gloss black. Slowly add light layers until desired finish. Heavy spray may cause reflectiveness to fog.

Staff notes:

• Official website states that it is enamel based but personal testing shows that it volatizes with lacquer thinner and clumps/separates with enamel thinner.
• Manufacturer marketing states it does not require primer - we suggest always using primer and a gloss black base for best adhesion and results
• Manufacturer marketing states that it can be varnished without damaging the finish - we recommend using a water-based gloss like Acrysion, AK 3rd Gen, Aqueous or AK Gauzy Agent. Lacquer gloss will still damage the finish.
