Premium Bandai expands the Mobile Suit Gundam F90 A ~ Z project with the latest gunpla entry! The F90N Gundam F90 Next Type strives to offer a fresh viewpoint on the Gundam F90 series. This new version, also known as Gundam F90 N-Type or stylized as F90 NexT Type, appears in the manga "Mobile Suit Gundam F90: Fastest Formula".

The Gundam F90 N-Type's design revolves around the groundbreaking N-Type Mission Pack, which easily merges with the Gundam F90's base model. This special pack contains the Hull Fighter, a revolutionary backpack unit that converts the Gundam F90 into a fearsome Newtype-use Mobile Suit. The Gundam F90, unlike its predecessors, was not initially planned to be compatible with Psycho-Frame technology. The Hull Fighter tackles this issue by providing previously unavailable capabilities to the Mobile Suit.

The Hull Fighter, developed in secret by the Strategic Naval Research Institute (SNRI), is more than just an auxiliary; it is a manned support unit that can operate as a space fighter on its own. When docked with the Gundam F90, it provides unequaled versatility. The Mobile Suit may be piloted from either the F90 or the Hull Fighter cockpit, providing for greater strategic flexibility during battle. The design idea behind this is to allow the Gundam F90 pilot to oversee the Mobile Suit's operations, while the Newtype pilot within the Hull Fighter focuses on using the N-Type's remote weaponry.

What distinguishes the F90N Gundam F90 N-Type is its compatibility with the various mission packs created for the Gundam F90 series. The N-Type's design cleverly uses only the backpack hardpoint for the Hull Fighter attachment, leaving the arm and leg hardpoints available. This design choice assures that the F90 N-Type can be equipped with practically any existing mission pack, considerably increasing operational versatility without requiring extensive changes.

Despite possible weight and balance concerns, the Gundam F90 N-Type's complex operating system compensates effectively, ensuring that control and maneuverability are not impaired. This technological marvel exemplifies the Gundam series' dedication to pushing the limits of mobile suit capability and adaptability.
At the center of this release is the N type's signature, the Hull Fighter, a mission pack and fighter aircraft that represents the concept of "NEXT". This freshly created model has an outstanding level of detail and usefulness.

Transformable Hull Fighter: This component doubles as a mission pack and a fighter aircraft, capable of merging seamlessly with the Gundam F90. When in its aircraft form, it can be displayed in mid-flight on a stand, complete with an openable and closable canopy for added realism.

Beam Rifle and Hilt Funnel Arsenal: The N type's beam rifle is uniquely compatible with six hilt funnels, which can be detached and transformed into funnel mode or beam saber mode, thanks to interchangeable parts.
Innovative Shield Design: Originating from the Hull Fighter's nose, the shield not only attaches to the arm but can also mount hilt funnels on its side, allowing for dynamic shooting poses when combined with the beam rifle.

The Hull Fighter's design combines hard points seen in the manga "Mobile Suit Gundam F90FF". This design choice provides a plethora of customization choices, including the attachment of various mission packs such as the NB and NG types, as well as the ability to swap the primary wing portion with a V-type Vesbar unit (sold separately).

As an added bonus, the set contains the Gundam F90 Unit 2 in its original rollout color scheme. This model comes with typical weapons, such as a beam rifle, beam saber, and shield, giving enthusiasts a complete and accurate building experience.

To further enhance the model's authenticity and detail, the set comes with water transfer decals featuring original markings. These decals add an extra layer of depth and customization, allowing builders to truly make their model stand out.
MORE VARIANTS

Because the N-Type equipment only uses the F90's backpack hardpoint to mount the Hull Fighter, the arm and leg hardpoints remain free to use. This means that the F90 N-Type can be utilized alongside practically all currently produced mission packs without requiring major field adjustments, as long as the backpack is not modified. Despite the weight and balance concerns that would ordinarily arise, the Gundam F90's operating system is capable of compensating, allowing for improved control.
