Want to take your model's to a new level past conventional standards? Seeing beautifully weathered models online and wondering how to achieve those same effects? atching tutorials but still feeling intimidated by all the techniques? Or experimenting on your own but struggling to get the results you want? This course is for you!

This two-day hands on weathering course, involves advanced level techniques and knowhow to bring your models to realistic depth, adding character, effects, depth, and realism. From Airbursh painting methods, oil paint weathering and rendering, you will be directly involved in learning how to create realistic, shading, paint chipping, fading, texture and atmospheric effects.

Taught by Su Xu, a model competitor whom has dominated competition spheres all over Canada, gain access to his mindset, and insight for your own projects!

Outline of the course: 
Learn concepts and techniques for weathering between two days

Day 1:

• Colour theory, for mixing and blending paints
• Distressing / dithering paint methods
• Realistic shading paint methods
• Hairspray chipping methods

Day 2: 

• Purposes of weathering 
• Knowhow on when to do weathering
• Washes/filtering techniques
• tippling and blending
• Distressing techniques
• Atmospheric layering 
• Speckling
• Chipping 

Duration of the course: 

• Two Classes, November 14th & November 15th
• 3 hours, 13:00 - 16:00 both days

What to bring to the class

• Kits and paint will be provided.
• If you have your own kit ready to paint/weather, please feel free to bring one. 
  
• A Resparator with OV + P100 Rating (Organic solvents & Oils)
  
  • Medical masks/COVID masks are not sufficent

• 4 Max (min of 2 to start the course)
