Mastering Gunpla with Brush Painting

This month's issue features "brush painting" for the first time in about a year!! But first, some of you may have experienced a strong sense of déjà vu when you look at this month's cover. Yes, this issue's cover is actually an homage to the cover of the March 1981 issue, the first Gundam-only feature in Monthly Hobby Japan.

As this feature is titled "Mastering Gunpla with Brush Painting," we've chosen the same "MG Dom" as our subject, showcasing examples of each of the three professional modelers' signature brush painting techniques to highlight the differences in their paintwork.

To help you enjoy Gunpla even more, as the enthusiasm for it has risen even more with "GQuuuuuuX," and to let you know about the current brush painting scene, we'll be introducing a wide range of brush painting tips, from how to choose a brush and basic knowledge to basic lacquer brush painting, blending, and stamping. Of course, we'll also be explaining in detail how to paint the three Doms that grace the cover!

We'll bring you the depth of brush painting, which gives you the freedom to "discover and enjoy your favorite method."
