Captain Beaver of Argama has discovered a mysterious alternate universe waiting to be explored - and this time, the destination is the GQuuuuuuX Universe!
As an official member of the Argama Exploration Team, your mission is to accompany Captain Beaver on this exciting field trip and document the incredible Mobile Suits found throughout this alternate UC timeline.
Your assignment? Bring your discoveries to life by building and presenting them as stunning model kits. Whether it's a faithful recreation or a masterpiece of customization, every build helps expand the Argama Research Archives.

1. HOW DO I ENTER?
There are two options for entering;
OPTION 1: ONLINE (VIA E-MAIL)

During the Event on October 25 2026, all online entries will be judged and displayed on the in store screens!
For our October 25 2026 in-person event:

Entries will be from 12:00PM - 2:00PM

Judging will start ~3:00 PM

Announcement of winners will be between 4:00 PM ~ 5:00 PM (dependent on quantity of entries)
*Do not register online if you intend on being at the in person event.
*We only accept registrations for entrants who resides in Canada.
OPTION 2: IN PERSON
We will be hosting an in person competition and event at Argama Hobby all day on October 25 2026 (Sunday).
There will be registration forms on site for you to fill out!

2. CATEGORIES
Category Gquuuuuux Open (Out-of-Box)
Out-of-Box entries must be built straight out of the box from an HG Gquuuuuux model kit and will only be judged on the “Base Judging Criteria.”
In this category, you can only incorporate the following for your entry: seam/gap filling, custom paint jobs, provided/custom or third-party decals, re-scribing of lost panel lines due to gap/seam filling, and paint-based weathering and details.
Category Gquuuuuux Advanced
In this category, you can incorporate any of the following for your entry: custom paint including weathering, seam/gap filling, kit modification or kit combination (kitbashing), LED lighting effects, custom scribing, custom parts, and provided/custom or third-party decals; with the exception that no 3D-printed parts/3rd party resin parts are allowed and at least 50% of the original HG Gquuuuuux model kit must exist within the build.
This category will be judged on both the Base Judging Criteria and the Advanced Judging Criteria.
Category Gquuuuuux Advanced “What if”
In this category, you can incorporate everything in the “Gquuuuuux Advanced” category, with the two exceptions that the “Timeline” restriction within the “Lore, Concept, & Originality - Advanced” judging criteria does not apply, & the “50% of the original HG Gquuuuuux model kit” does not apply (fully scratchbuilt/kitbashed entries are allowed).
Entries are also limited to any UC Mobile Suit up to UC 0087 (see Lore, Concept, & Originality - What-if). - This category is still limited to HG scale.
This category will be judged on both the Base Judging Criteria and the Advanced/What-if Judging Criteria.
3. Scoring
Base Judging Criteria (Out of Box & Advanced) - 35 Points
Construction & Cleanliness (10 Points)
Clean part cleanup. No visible nub marks, white plastic stress marks, or unintentional gaps between parts.
Paint Application & Technique (10 Points)
A uniform, smooth paint coat. Free of "orange peel" texture, dust, hair, runs, pooling, or visible brush strokes. Razor-sharp, clean color boundaries with no paint bleeding under masking tape.
Detail Application & Top Coat (10 Points)
Waterslides have perfect alignment with no "silvering" and lay completely flat. Painted details are crisp and make sense. The top coat has an even, consistent finish across the entire kit, free of "frosting."
Lore Accuracy & Presentation - Out of Box (5 Points)
The color schemes respect the Gquuuuuux Gundam universe or represent a highly plausible alternate variation of the subject mobile suit. The pose should be dynamic and interesting if at all possible.
Advanced Judging Criteria (Advanced/What if Category)
Customization & Modification (10 Points)
Physical alterations using pla-plate, putty, LEDs, or kitbashing. Must be structurally symmetrical and perfectly sanded. Scribing, if done, should be clean with minimal “scratching.” - 3d printing parts are not allowed.
Advanced Painting & Texturing (10 Points)
Completion of complex paint finishes (e.g., pre-shading, post-shading, color modulation, digital camo, or flawless candy coats) should be uniform with no sputtering or uneven gradients. Multi-layered weathering that tells a history of use or combat (e.g., streaks following gravity, layered rust, realistic soot, dirt, or carbon buildup in logical places).
Lore, Concept, & Originality - Advanced (5 Points) (only applies to the Gquuuuuux Advanced Category)
Visual impact of your unique vision. Pushing boundaries with fresh designs within the Gquuuuuux universe. These designs should be plausible during the Gquuuuuux-specific timeline and must not cross the bridge into other timelines that did not continue in the Gquuuuuux continuity. (An example of this would be no “Zeta/Wing Gundam Gquuuuuux version”; Reasoning — Zeta: as Zeon won the One Year War, the Zeta Gundam and Titans would not have been formed in the state that they were in the main UC timeline; and the Wing Gundam: as it is a completely different timeline.)
The exception to this would be anything produced and active during the original One Year War timeline, as this timeframe was not clarified in the Gquuuuuux manga or anime other than the fact that Zeon won.
Dioramas fall under the concept portion of this judging criteria and will only be used to ensure that the build and diorama make sense in the context of the build.
Lore, Concept, & Originality - What-if (5 Points) (only applies to the Gquuuuuux Advanced “What if” Category)
Visual impact of your unique vision. Pushing boundaries with fresh "what-if" designs within the Gquuuuuux universe. These designs should be plausible within the Gquuuuuux universe but are limited to the UC timeline up to UC 0087 (so a Gquuuuuux Zeta is perfectly acceptable here). See below for some example photos.
Dioramas fall under the concept portion of this judging criteria and will only be used to ensure that the build and diorama make sense in the context of the build.
