1/24 BMW M3 E30 Group A 1988 Spa 24 Hours Winner (Platz/Nunu PN24017)
The M3 (E30) was developed by BMW according to Group A regulations, and participated in Division 2, for 1.6 to 2.5-liter cars. Nearly 20 cars competed in the 24-Hour Spa race held in July 1988; car number 56 from the BMW Works team and BMW Motorsport Team won in spectacular fashion, driven by Dieter Kester, Altfrid Heger and Roberto Lavalier. The body uses blister fenders on front and rear, and its aerodynamic performance is improved by installing large wings on the rear. The engine is equipped with a 2.3-liter in-line 4-cylinder DOHC.
